Well this post may concern many kids and may prove a journey down the memory lane for many ,for some else it would be a stab on there wounds..
Well…when a couple plans a family ,the obvious first thing they decide about together is a KID.The first kid of family is always special and shares a special bondage with everyone. The family always tries to give the best of whole world for the kid.The special attention and kindness rendered on kid is no doubt natural and overwhelming it throws a negative effect on the future generation to come.
Wen the couple has a second kid its mostly done accidently or else just as a matter of expansion of family, this proves to give a negative effect on the minds.Though no doubt the elder child is always the more matured one.None would disagree to fact that the second child always remains the second hand holder.
From the cram of the baby ,to the first bicycle he rides,to the school uniform,to books ,he sadly has to try and relish on the second handed items. The tragedy of society is that after all these sacrifices made, even then people think the younger ones to be immature fools.
There's lack of building up of individuality in younger ones.Always overburdened with the load of expectations due to the so called success story of the older sibling, the younger one not only has the pressure to do good but also do better then or compete with the elder one.
And in return what does he get?well sadly to say.Nothing more then just a pat on back with yet again a second hand thing passed on in legacy.
Isn't the second kid not special?doesnt he deserve all that the older one got?
why is he to be always ladened by the burdens of expectations.
god knows what's right and wrong.
just hope the new year brings up an equality of status among two kids.
rather then the second being only a second hand kid..
Well,
ReplyDeleteon 'The second hand kid': Being the youngest in my family of four, I couldn't agree more with you (however, I have been much better off than what you've described). The younger sibling usually falls into the very subtle, but very deep, trap of following the footsteps of the older sibling.
Realization and acceptance of this fact takes one out of it.
I'm out!
on 'Uncertainties of Life': Well, that day is still awaited when people will feel and get better just by reading inspirational stuff. Feeling and getting better comes from the heart, and inspirational stuff, that is words, tries to seduce the mind. It will never work!
Anyways, isn't it weird at times when you find someone thinking on a frequency similar to yours ;) Yea, for me, it's the case here (I think, as of now).
I think, you must be a big fan of Bob Dylan. If not, I think you should be. :)
Keep awe-riting!
